Now in its second decade, the American College Center for Military and Veterans Affairs provides educational support, scholarships, and career advancement opportunities to America’s military community, including active duty service members, guard, reservists, and their spouses through strategic partnerships in the Financial Services industry. To further our goal of fully supporting our community, below are tools available for your convenience.
Amanda Raymond, Director of Career Services
Amanda Raymond is the Director of Career Services at The American College of Financial Services. She joined The College in 2022 to lead the development and creation of a virtual career center.
Prior to joining The College, Amanda served as the Associate Director for Alumni Career Engagement at UCLA where she collaborated with alumni, faculty, and employers to help students prepare for the transition from college to career. During her time at UCLA, she worked on career programming in partnership with Disney, Paramount, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman.
Over the course of her career, Amanda has developed and managed a variety of experiential education programs for University of California, Irvine and The Washington Center for Internships in Washington, D.C. She holds a B.A. in Communication and M.A. in Counseling from the University of San Diego. Additionally, she is a Certified Professional Coach.
Amanda resides in Southern California, where she enjoys hiking, going to the beach with her family and checking out the local farmers markets on the weekends.

The Center for Military and Veterans Affairs partners with Bridge My Return, an organization dedicated to helping our heros and their spouses transition into rewarding, fruitful careers after leaving the military. Bridge My Return helps members align their military training with employers that have a demand for their skillset, all at no cost to applicants.

Lacey’s the creator and host of The Military Money Show, a podcast dedicated to helping the military community with personal finance.

The Lincoln Financial Foundation awards grants to hundreds of nonprofits each year that empower and improve the lives of many.
Since 9/11, Tunnel to Towers Foundation has been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. They are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and aiding the victims of major U.S. disasters.

Another resource for veterans seeking jobs and employers seeking to hire veterans. Recruit Military’s goal is to engage transitioning and civilian-experienced military veteran men and women in the most meaningful way.
They provide administrative, marketing, creative design, and recruiting support services through their team of virtual assistants and other talented professionals, the majority of whom are military spouses.
WISE is a virtual team of military spouses, veteran spouses, and veterans. Project managers work toward or hold a CAPM or PMP Certification.
